This major event is set for Sunday 19 May 2013 for the XVI Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore International Festival. Held in the atmospheric setting of the castle of San Salvatore di Susegana (province of Treviso), Weekend in Villa offers you an opportunity to taste the latest wines certified by the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore producers association, the organiser of the event. A splendid 13th century castle and Italy’s favourite D.O.C.G. sparkling wine: these are the two protagonists of Vino in Villa, the International Festival of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, which this year will allow all of its visitors to explore the world of Conegliano Valdobbiadene from both the “real” and “virtual” points of view. 
During the event visitors will be able to take part in the Academy, the first online course devoted to our wine, and so discover all the secrets of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. On the other hand, for those who prefer the “real” world, in the spacious rooms of the Castle of San Salvatore they will be able to meet around one hundred producers, present in person in order to tell their own stories and explain their own individual philosophies. Visitors will also be able to attend brief tasting courses and lectures and so discover the denomination’s many different styles. 
Vino in Villa will be an opportunity, too, to get to know the “hand-crafted” vineyards with which, over the course of the centuries, man has adorned the hillsides of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region, now in line to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, throughout the month of May, the area will reveal its gastronomic side thanks to the “Menus of Vino in Villa”, offered by the zone’s restaurants in order to propose perfect matches between the sparkling wines of this denomination and typical local dishes.
